Nathan Nielson grew up in the Four Corners region. He received his bachelor’s degree in Russian & International Relations from Brigham Young University and his master’s degree in the Classics from St. John’s College in Santa Fe, NM. He worked as a Russian linguist and media analyst at Central Intelligence for nearly five years and currently writes on issues of faith and society for the Public Affairs Department of the LDS Church. An occasional essayist, Nathan is also founder and director of Book & Bridges–a community institute of ideas and conversation centering on the humanities. He lives with his wife and three sons near Salt Lake City, Utah.
